We are just home from RootsTech. All I can say was WOW!!! They announced a change to Temple Submission Policies. There is no longer a 95 year rule. People are living into the 100's and many people's work was being done while they were living which voids the work but it is marked done so doesn't get done when it really is needed. It is now a 110 year rule and you must have death proof and written permission. Submission requirements are being tightened.

Some highlights:

Just wait for the new tree program coming, hopefully, later this year.

Google is introducing a new app for genealogy in Google Chrome.

Brightsolid hopes to introduce findmypast usa later this year.

Watch for the release of the 1940 USA census April 2.

We got lots of info about "the cloud" and going mobile. I learned lots of new jargon.

There was lots of info on collecting info and pictures and different ways to publish them.

And so much more.

Watch the televised sessions, especially the one by Ron Taylor about the future of Trees.
